Causes close to our heart

We have particularly close relationships with all the charities we fundraise for, below are examples of just some of the fantastic causes we represent regularly.

Amnesty Logo

Amnesty are ordinary people from across the world standing up for humanity and human rights. Our purpose is to protect individuals wherever justice, fairness, freedom and truth are denied.

Historically our campaigning has focused on prisoners, but we have responded to the changing patterns of human rights violations in the world. Today people are more likely to become victims of abuse because of who they are, rather than for what they think, say or do: the biggest threat to human rights are the mass violations committed during armed conflicts.

Amnesty & Gift have a close working relationship as outlined by Angus Watson Amnesty International UK Training Manager:

"We have worked with Gift for the last year. Last month I spent a morning on the street with the Amnesty team and was hugely impressed with their knowledge, resilience, courage and passion for the work we do. Gift have helped raise essential funds enabling us to continue very important work in combating human rights violations and bringing hope to people in their darkest hour"

CLIC Sargent

Every day 10 families are told their child has cancer. As the UK's leading children's cancer charity, CLIC Sargent is the only organisation to offer them all round care and support. That’s because we’re there every step of the way.

We are here to help as many children and young people as possible survive cancer and make the most of their lives. We help the whole family cope with the trauma of cancer, life after treatment and, in some cases, with bereavement. We make sure that young people with cancer and their families can speak out about their needs and get involved in how we meet them.

“We have worked with Gift for three years and street fundraising remains an important recruitment method for us. We always enjoy meeting the fundraisers who are passionate in what they do and have helped raise vital funds for our charity.” Andrew Foot, Direct Marketing Manager, CLIC Sargent.

CARE logo

CARE is one of the largest independent global relief and development organisations in the world. With over 60 years’ experience, this non-political and non-sectarian organisation operates in 70 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Middle East and Europe. CARE helps over 45 million people a year and has worked in over 125 countries since 1945.

"We’ve been working with Gift since 2001 and have an excellent relationship with them. They provide us with high quality, long-term donors, and their fundraisers are a fantastic bunch!" Tracey Horner

Guide Dogs

We provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people. We also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment, educate the public about eye care and fund eye disease research.

We have been expertly breeding and training guide dogs for more than 75 years, providing many thousands to blind and partially-sighted people of all ages and from all walks of life.

We also deliver confidence-building rehabilitation services to adults, young people and children - including long cane mobility training and communication and daily living skills.

Visual impairment is a fact of life for thousands of people, and with an ageing population many more will be affected by sight loss in the future.

We campaign alongside visually-impaired people for rights that most sighted people take for granted. These include access to services and transport, freedom of mobility, and provision of better rehabilitation services. Working closely with guide dog owners, service providers, other voluntary organisation and MPs, we've won major victories and have successfully lobbied to influence policies and legislation.

UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation focusing on children and child rights, with a presence in more than 190 countries and territories. We work with local communities, partners and governments to ensure every child’s rights to survive and thrive are upheld.

UNICEF UK raises funds for UNICEF’s emergency and development work around the world. In 2009 UNICEF raised £50 million for their work with children worldwide, including over £24 million to help children caught in emergencies.

We also advocate for lasting change for children. UNICEF UK’s Public Affairs team works with Parliament to change government policies and practices that are detrimental to child rights in the UK and internationally

Battersea Logo

Established in 1860, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home aims never to turn away a dog or cat in need of our help. We reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners through our Lost Dogs & Cats Line or care for them until new homes can be found, giving them shelter and the highest standards of veterinary care.

We were the first animal welfare organisation to establish a dedicated Behaviour Unit and our experienced staff give every animal that comes into our Home a detailed temperament and behavioural assessment.

We offer extra training and socialisation to those that need it, and detailed help and advice to new pet owners through behaviour programmes and our Behaviour Advice Line.

We also educate the public about every aspect of responsible pet ownership.
